Waihi Beach
April 7 - Easter Puppet Show and Entertainment at Bowentown Beach Holiday Park
This Easter Saturday Bowentown Beach Holiday Park is hosting the Little Bang Fairy Show, a fantastic puppet show for the kids. Following on from that will be the Turkish Delight Belly Dancers, and then some music played by local musicians. For more information check out the posters around the Holiday Park.
Also this weekend there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and a Colouring Competition with some great prizes.
Come along to Bowentown and join in the fun!

April 8 - Harbour Only Fishing Competition
Fishing Times: Start 6am – Finish 4pm
Weigh in time: Start 2pm – Finish 4.30pm

ONE CLASS – Combined – Men – Women – Juniors $1,000 Average Weight Snapper. First, Second, Third & Average Weight prizes awarded for SNAPPER - TREVALLY – KAHAWAI – HEAVIEST OTHER *no sharks or stingrays
ENTRY FEE - $30 per angler

April 21 - ECHO Walking Festival, Waihi Beach
Walk : Orokawa Bay to William Wright Falls. Leaving from the Northern end of Waihi Beach follow the undulating track with breathtakingly beautiful coastal views, pass by popular rock fishing spots and walk through timeless native bush. Orokawa Bay emerges as a stunningly beautiful, pohutukawa fringed beach. From there the track leads up to William Wright Falls.
Includes several small stream crossings, gorgeous native Nikau Palms and abundant birdlife. Bring a picnic lunch.

April 21 - The Nugget Multisport Festival
This event takes place in and around the iconic township of Waihi at the base of the Coromandel Peninsula, the Nugget Multisport Festival will take you on an unforgettable adventure from the coast at Waihi Beach to the rim of the mighty Martha Mine and our spectacular finish line in central Waihi.
The event weekend now has five key event options offering a little something for everyone! Choose from: The Full Nugget Multisport Race; The Half Nugget Duathlon; a 21km Adventure Run and a 10km or 5km Run or Walk.

Katikati Plant & Produce Market
Every Friday from 4pm to 5:30pm A&P showgrounds (look out for the flags) Come and buy some of our locally grown veges or fruit, or try a locally made olive oil or some bread, maybe some cheese to go with it? Experience the Katikati Plant & Produce this Friday.
Moggie's Market
Held on the second Saturday of every month at the Memorial Hall. Locally produce plus arts, crafts and bric brac available. Moggies is a well known and well visited market in the Western Bay of Plenty.
